PHPBenelux Conference 2011: Call for Proposals

After a successful first conference earlier this year, the PHPBenelux team is proud to announce the 2nd edition of the PHPBenelux Conference. We're extending to two days this year with a half day tutorial, and 1.5 days of conference. The conference is on Friday 28th January and Saturday 29th January in Antwerp.

Become part of this year's speaker schedule at the PHPBenelux Conference 2011. Each chosen speaker receives a speaker package!

About the talks

The duration of each talk is 60 minutes. This includes Questions and Answers time (Q&A). Generally the talk itself lasts 50 minutes and Q&A 10 minutes.

How to submit your topic(s)

The last day for submissions is 31st August 2010. You can submit your topics using the form below. If you have multiple ideas, please use the form multiple times to submit each idea.

We are looking for and welcome any topic that contributes to improving the skills of PHP web developers. Some examples for talks, but not limited to, are:

  • Content Management Systems
  • Frameworks
  • Best practises
  • General and in depth programming skills
  • .. your topic?

When in doubt, submit your proposal, and let us decide on whether it fits the conference. The CfP is open until August 31, 2010. So please don't hesitate and submit your proposal at the end of this article.

Speaker package

You are eligible for the speaker package if your topic is chosen for our conference. Our speaker package includes:

  • pick-up service from airport/train to the hotel
  • two or three hotel nights
  • full access to the conference
  • an invitation to the speakers dinner
  • up to 300 euro of reimbursement for travel expenses

If you already submitted your topic(s)

As long as the deadline for sending in topics is not yet exceeded, this allows you more time to resubmit topics that are less likely to be outdated by the time the conference is held.

Questions?

Should you have any questions related to submitting your call for papers and talks, please contact us here. We will get back to you as soon as possible.

If you need some background information on speaking and submitting, feel free to refer to Lorna Mitchell's recent post about the CfP of our friends at PHPNW (who also have their CfP open right now!) for some good resources on the topic. See you in Antwerp!
