Redis Geoloc and Bulk import by Nico Callandt<br>
After a brief introduction on REDIS and it’s most common use cases, we’ll dig into one of it’s lesser-know applications : use it as a geospatial indexer. We’ll start by finding the fastest way to import large amounts of (geolocated) data into REDIS before diving into his set of dedicated GEO commands using examples to solve real-world challenges.<br>
I’m a PHP developer since the early beginnings of the century. I spend most of my career designing and developing tailor made ERPs for small and medium sized companies. From 2010, I transitionned to a team management role, leaving the development aside. And finally, for the last 3 years, I came back to my first passion : coding. That’s where I discovered Laravel and fell in love with it’s ecosystem and it’s community.<br>
