Talk: “Coding for the masses”
by Jip Moors
Perfectly good code can work on your site with 20 or 30 people visiting at the same time but can massively crash your server when suddenly 2000 visitors come because somebody linked your site on hacker news.
The charm of writing code is that it can be done in a million different ways.
The problem of writing code is that there are silent killers that only emerge when they are challenged.
In this talk I want to point out some problems that can occur when the volume of users increases and give some ideas that might make your coding life easier in the future or even tomorrow.
